Lose It – Oh Wonder (Jerry Folk Remix)

This is not just another Oh Wonder remix. What the hell is even happening? It’s really infrequent that you come across something that’s completely new sounding and mind blowing within the first 45 seconds. It’s the first minute or so of a song that’s make or break, and in this case it hooks you right off the bat and improves throughout. Jerry Folk’s production is impeccable. There’s not much more to say, so listen and enjoy the ride.

About Love. – FlyBoy

Sometimes life gets really stressful, whether you’re trying to find an apartment in a short amount of time, or dealing with finals, or whatever else. It can get so stressful that you don’t want to make your own mellow playlist. That’s where FlyBoy comes in. First of all, as stated previously, this kid is majorly talented. Second, this entire hour-long mix is very soothing, tropical, melodic, deep, and all around pleasant to listen to. While we wait (not so) patiently for his next remix, chill out with his mixtape, and enjoy. Tracklist coming soon, and here’s the free DL link for a few of his other songs.

FFYL – Quinn (Tarro Remix)

Future bass is, and has been, having a major moment. Like trop house, it’s starting to get a little played out (thanks Flume). But – once in a while, someone does something a little different, and it breathes new life into an overdone genre. This is one of those songs. The original is already sick, and in this remix, Quinn’s vocal, rap, and lyrics, work perfectly over the understated, synthey beat. He’s a fool for her love, you’ll be a fool for this song. Free DL here, and follow Tarro here, and Quinn here.

Circles – machineheart ft. Vanic (Video)

Better late than never! On May 7th, machineheart released the video for their song Circles, with Vanic. This song is sick, futuristic pop that’s perfectly synthy and bright. Lead singer Stevie Scott kills it on the vocals, and it’s produced into an effortlessly bright summer anthem. machineheart’s debut album is going to be released on Columbia Records, and this is a phenomenal lead single that’s sure to help catapult them to the top.

The trippy video features rotating shards with band members playing between them, or superimposed on them as they move and create a whole. According to machineheart, “Circles ventures into this whole idea about making the best out of your situation. It’s a reminder that when you face resistance or difficulty, you’ll want to have people around you who are going to remind you of what your intentions were in the first place.” We can definitely all relate to that! Check it out below, and don’t forget to buy the single on iTunes here!

Safe and Sound – Capital Cities (6ig Angu5 Remix)

6ig Angu5 takes everything from classic rock songs to contemporary pop songs and remixes them into tropical house delicacies. This remix of Safe and Sound is no exception, and it’s in line with the rest of his unexpected work. Where some producers may falter and create something that doesn’t seem quite right, he manages to mix genres beautifully to bring us a different sound that stands out against the tropical house being produced right now. Check it out, and get the free DL here.

I See Cali – The Jane Doze (Kygo x Ed Sheeran x Notorious B.I.G.)

Uh, this combination is genius. Nothing gets more California than tropical house and Going Back to Cali, despite Biggie’s East Coast origins. This is just perfect, there are very few words (as a California native) that can express how perfect it is. The Jane Doze laid Going Back to Cali over Kygo’s remix of I See Fire by Ed Sheeran, and the result is tropical yet gangster in the best of ways. Here’s to hoping The Jane Doze get their summer in New York soon, but maybe in the meantime get those asses to California 😉

It is absolutely in your best interests to get that free DL here. Also, give these ladies some major love on Hype Machine here.

Coco – Ed Sheeran (Hitimpulse Remix)

Ed Sheeran covered OT Genasis, and Hitimpulse remixed it. Thanks, guys. Ed is undeniably one of the most talented musicians in the industry right now, and this cover/remix is undeniably a thousand times better than the original song. It has a chill, Flume-y vibe, and Hitimpulse balanced production and vocals impeccably. Generosity is a beautiful thing, and there’s a free DL here.

Stay With Me – Sam Smith (Matthew Heyer and Jasmine Thompson Remix)

Taking on Sam Smith is no small feat, but Jasmine Thompson is no small singer. Well she is, at 14 years old, but she has a voice well beyond her years. This tropical house remix of Stay With Me is an enormous departure from the original, but equally incredible. It’s a mellow blend of Jasmine’s vocals and Matthew Heyer’s chill production, and it’s sure to put you in a great mood. Get the free download here!
