Ed Sheeran covered OT Genasis, and Hitimpulse remixed it. Thanks, guys. Ed is undeniably one of the most talented musicians in the industry right now, and this cover/remix is undeniably a thousand times better than the original song. It has a chill, Flume-y vibe, and Hitimpulse balanced production and vocals impeccably. Generosity is a beautiful thing, and there’s a free DL here.
Taking on Sam Smith is no small feat, but Jasmine Thompson is no small singer. Well she is, at 14 years old, but she has a voice well beyond her years. This tropical house remix of Stay With Me is an enormous departure from the original, but equally incredible. It’s a mellow blend of Jasmine’s vocals and Matthew Heyer’s chill production, and it’s sure to put you in a great mood. Get the free download here!
Myles Travitz absolutely slayed this remix of Snøw by machineheart. It starts out softly with simple vocals and piano, until the beat kicks in and brings it to a synthey breakdown, and back again. It’s easy to put on, and keep on, for hours. Luckily, there’s a free DL here. Also, give him a heart on Hype Machine. He deserves it.
Jess Glynne has seen a great amount of success in 2014/15, culminating in a Grammy win for Best Dance Recording on Clean Bandit’s Rather Be. Hold My Hand is her follow-up single, and while it’s a great song in its own right, this remix really takes it to the next level. Her single is an upbeat pop song that shows off her impressive pipes, but Le Youth’s remix is sure to get people dancing a whole lot harder. It’s Wednesday, so use this to get you through to Friday. It’ll work. 🙂
Start your week off on the right note with the latest from FlyBoy. The 17 year old producer released this song as a thank you to his 1,000 Soundcloud fans – since then he’s jumped to over 1,300. This song is a perfectly balanced blend of vocals and instrumental, and its mellow vibe is relaxing without ever being boring. As previously stated, FlyBoy is one to watch out for. Each of his releases is different from the previous ones, and equally incredible. Get the free DL here, and enjoy!
Tove Styrke’s original is great, but this remix takes the song to a new level. This ambient, groovy take on the song brings it from being a decent pop song about a dude’s over-inflated ego, and turns it into a song that makes you want to shake your ass on the dance floor and say #bye. It transitions nicely from verse to chorus and breakdown, and builds on itself, bringing all of the components together for a full-on bumper of a song. Give it some love on Hype Machine here, and enjoy!
Posted on Soundcloud an hour ago, this future bass remix of Riptide has already racked up close to 7,000 plays. It’s a completely refreshing take and a welcome update, considering that the original version has been inescapable for the past year. Kasbo’s remix manages to maintain the integrity of the original while fundamentally changing the song, and the result is incredible. Get the free download here!
Warning: you will not be able to take this off repeat. This tropical remix of Boyce Avenue from FlyBoy is incredibly addictive. It transitions perfectly from the vocal sections to the tropical breakdowns, it builds nicely, and maintains a great melody throughout. It’s great for a long drive up the coast, with all the windows down… pretty much exactly what this genre is meant for. All you need to do for the free download is follow FlyBoy on Facebook here.
